Product details

Description, highlights, and specifications from the retailer feed.

The NETGEAR R6700AX is a WiFi 6 dual-band router built for small to medium homes that need fast, reliable wireless coverage across every room. Whether you are streaming in HD, video conferencing, gaming online, or managing smart home devices, the R6700AX delivers AX1800 WiFi 6 speeds for up to 20 connected devices simultaneously across up to 1,500 sq. ft. This is a router only. A separate modem or ISP gateway with an ethernet connection is required for internet service. Compatible with most cable, fiber, DSL, and satellite internet providers. No coax input on this router. This is a standalone router and cannot be paired with another router to extend coverage. For whole-home mesh coverage, consider the NETGEAR Orbi system. Set up using the free NETGEAR Nighthawk app or any web browser — no app required to operate. WPA3 encryption and automatic firmware updates protect your network at no additional cost. NETGEAR Armor provides optional advanced security with a 30-day free trial; a paid subscription is required to continue after the trial. NETGEAR takes a layered approach to security to help protect your devices, your data, and your connection. Engineered by NETGEAR, over 30 years of home networking innovation, FCC certified for the United States.

• ROUTER ONLY, NOT A MODEM: Requires a separate modem or ISP gateway for internet service, connected via ethernet. This is a standalone router and cannot be paired with another router to extend coverage.
• WIFI 6 AX1800 SPEED FOR STREAMING, GAMING AND VIDEO CALLS: Up to 1.8 Gbps across 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. Real-world speeds depend on your connected devices and internet plan. Backward compatible with WiFi 6 and earlier devices.
• SUPPORTS UP TO 20 CONNECTED DEVICES: Designed for small to medium homes handling multiple devices simultaneously. Ideal for streaming, video calls, smart home devices, and security cameras without slowing down your network.
• COMPATIBLE WITH CABLE, FIBER, DSL AND SATELLITE ISPS: Works with most internet service providers when connected to an existing modem or ISP gateway via ethernet. No coax input on this router. For use in the United States only.
• SET UP VIA NIGHTHAWK APP OR WEB BROWSER: Guided setup available through the free NETGEAR Nighthawk app on iOS or Android, or any web browser on a computer. Internet must be active on your modem before setup. No app required to operate.
• WIFI COVERAGE UP TO 1500 SQ FT: Covers up to 1,500 sq. ft. in open layouts. Walls, floors, and interference can reduce range. Larger or multi-story homes may benefit from a NETGEAR Orbi mesh WiFi system.
• 4 GIGABIT ETHERNET LAN PORTS FOR WIRED DEVICES: Four 1 Gig Ethernet ports provide wired connections for computers, gaming consoles, streaming players, and storage drives. The internet WAN port is separate and connects to your modem only.
