WiFi should be something you never have to think about. The NETGEAR Nighthawk RS500 delivers tri-band WiFi 7 speeds up to 12 Gbps, coverage up to 3,000 sq. ft., and capacity for up to 120 connected devices, built to deliver the full speed of your internet plan and step you up into multi-gig speeds. This is a standalone WiFi 7 router. A separate modem or gateway with an RJ45 ethernet port is required for internet service. Compatible with most cable, fiber, DSL, and satellite providers. Some gateways and modem router combos may require bridge mode. Powered by a quad-core 2.0 GHz processor with MU-MIMO and OFDMA to help every connected device get its share of the bandwidth without slowing each other down. A USB 3.0 port lets you share files across your home network. Backward compatible with WiFi 6 and earlier devices. Security features, exclusive Advanced Router Protection, and automatic firmware updates protect your home network out of the box. Engineered by NETGEAR, over 30 years of home networking innovation, FCC Certified for the United States.
- SET UP AND MANAGE YOUR NETWORK WITH THE NIGHTHAWK APP: Download the free Nighthawk app on iOS or Android for guided setup. Manage WiFi, run speed tests, pause devices, and set up guest networks from anywhere. Active internet required.
- COVERAGE IN EVERY ROOM: A 6-antenna array delivers up to 3,000 sq. ft. of coverage for up to 120 devices. Walls, floors, and interference can reduce range. Larger or multi-story homes may benefit from a NETGEAR Orbi mesh WiFi system.
- MULTI-GIG READY WIRED CONNECTIONS: Plug your modem or gateway into the 2.5 Gig WAN port to unlock multi-gig internet plans. A second 2.5 Gig LAN port and three 1 Gig Ethernet LAN ports connect gaming rigs, NAS drives, and smart TVs.
